Adidas Consortium x DQM Rod Laver Pack (In Action)

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Adidas Consortium x DQM Rod Laver Pack (In Action)
We decided to do a follow up on the collaboration between Adidas Consortium and DMQ. The Rod Laver pack consists of three colorways, including navy, lemon, and green. The upper, composed of leather and mesh, stays true to the original clean and simple design with the exception of the missing 3-Stripe logo. However, the lack of design element allows the quality of the materials used to construct the shoe to really shine through. From the tongue, to the toe box, to the lace stays, quality leather and suede are used to complete the build. adidas and DQM branding can be spotted on the tongue, while the Consortium branding is spotted on the heel and eyelets. The final touches are seen in the white herringbone outsole that matches the ankle tab and lining. Look for these at your local Consortium retailer starting March 13th, including DQM.

They feature a white / blue /grey upper which goes very well together. The blue portion features an underlying 3M reflective material which shines when hit by light, which will definitely turn heads. The outsole is a dark grey color with white inserts, which feature a modified version of the herringbone pattern, which provides great traction on the hardwood. The shoe is modeled after the paw of a black panther. The green hologram at the heel represents the eye of the animal, while the bottom represents its paw. They are really beautiful shoes, with flowing lines, and are very organic. Other specifications include a hidden quick lace system, carbon fibre sheath, holographic eye, and Zoom Air insoles.
The Air Jordan 13 (XIII) Retro – Flints (French Blue / University Blue – Flint Grey) were released on March 19, 2005, and retailed for $150. They are very similar to the Air Jordan 13 (XIII) Original (OG) – Flints (Navy / Carolina Blue – Flint Grey – White), but feature a lighter blue. adidas Originals Fortitude Mid Friends & Family Promo Pack
adidas Originals has been reinterpreting models well since the inception of the sub-division. The model shown here, the Fortitude, is a newcomer to the scene, and it has receieved some well-deserved accolades thanks to it’s slick athletic and outdoors hybrid styling. Reminiscent of older Nike ACG models, the Fortitude has seen a few colorways so far, including a black/purple version that we showed you a few weeks back, and now we get a look at three more colorways that are promo-only releases sent to select adidas accounts, including Packer Shoes in New Jersey, where these shots were taken. A black/neon green, blue/orange, and Yeezy-ish gray/sherbet model all feature 3M accents on the toe, tongue and heel. As you can see in the pics, there are shirts to match the colorways as well. With its unique styling, the Fortitude is a model that may be around long enough to see its own retro. via SN
